Pursuant to the Procedural By-law, being a By-law to govern and regulate the proceedings of Council of the Township of Seguin, the following procedure is to be followed by persons wishing to appear before Council:

Persons desiring to present information to Council or to make a request of Council shall submit a completed "Request To Be Heard By Council" form to the Clerk no later than 4:00 p.m. on the Monday preceding the next regularly scheduled Council meeting. The Clerk shall have the discretion in preparing the agenda to limit the number of presentations to be made to Council or the matters to be placed before Council in order to facilitate an orderly and timely meeting. Persons with urgent matters may appeal to the Presiding Officer to be heard by leave of a majority of Council.

Persons shall not be permitted to address Council except with the permission of the Presiding Officer. In the case of a delegation appearing before Council, only an appointed representative shall address Council with permission of the Presiding Officer.

Persons wishing to appear before Council are to complete a "Request to be Heard by Council" form and submit the completed form to the Clerk. The forms are available at the Township of Seguin municipal office at 5 Humphrey Drive or by contacting the Clerk's Office at (705) 732-4300 or toll free 1-877-473-4846 (1-877-4SEGUIN) and requesting a form be mailed or faxed or you may download the form from this web site.
